the beach

After Anna Laura's birthday party, Benji and I left the girls in Jackson with the grandparents and took off to Florida for a week. A dear, sweet friend of ours has a condo in Destin, FL and offered it to us for a whole week for FREE! We had some other sweet friends that felt God was asking them to pay for our gas for our trip. We were blown away by God's provision for us to take a little vacation. Our time away was much needed and gave rest to our souls. We slept in, laid on the beach ALL day, took walks on the beach at sunset, and enjoyed some good seafood too! It was so refreshing not being on a schedule, not being responsible for anyone but ourselves, and getting to sit in complete silence and listen to the ocean waves. We were able to spend some much needed time alone with the Lord and His word and we've come back ready to tackle the rest of the semester and our two high-energy little girls. We are so grateful that we were given the opportunity to have this week of rest. This is a little glimpse of what we got to enjoy.....
