Perdido Key 2009

A few weeks ago we went to the beach with Benji's parents, brother, and his brother's girlfriend. We had such a good time. Caroline LOVED the beach and it was so fun to watch her explore and play. She liked playing in the sand and building sandcastles. She loved swimming in the pool and even went under water (on purpose) a time or two. She didn't really care for the ocean until the last day. Benji's parents were a huge help. Benji and I actually got to sleep in, play some tennis, and enjoy some peaceful, quiet moments on the beach by ourselves.

We spent a few nights crab hunting on the beach which Caroline loved. However, she seemed to enjoy frog hunting even more. For some reason there were a lot of frogs at our condo. Caroline would scream with shear delight when she saw one. She even touched the belly of a frog and ran off screaming with excitement. It was too funny!

Today I enjoyed a cooking class at Central Market. It was a Christmas gift from Benji and I am just now cashing in on it. It was a class on baking. We baked all types of breads, muffins, scones, and cinnamon buns. Everything was so yummy! I'm just afraid Benji is going to be expecting one of these every morning. Thanks Benji for an amazing gift!

Caroline has officially moved to a big girl bed. It was kind of sad taking her crib out of her room. It's just another reminder that she is growing so quickly. She loves her new big girl bed. She's been sleeping great in it after a few nights of getting up in the middle of the night.
